Jazz in Gendringen

Last year in August, the Dutch/German experimental artpop band FRÉ celebrated the release of a feature documentary about their latest album with a special open air concert in the midst of the beautiful nature surrounding the Wilbrinkshof in Gendringen.
Now, after a year of crafting new songs, FRÉ is proudly presenting the second edition, which will celebrate the release of their upcoming single. No film premiere this time, but an afternoon filled with lots of music by FRÉ and dream pop duo ISLE, set in the beautiful countryside and served with delicious goods from the local vineyard.
FRÉ takes you on a journey of intimate rawness. By fusing their inner worlds with progressive alt-pop and living out their love for stunning visuals and interdisciplinary concepts, FRÉ is pushing their fans and themselves into unknown territories of music and art. A social musical experience designed to grow in concert.
ISLE’s dream pop awakens your imagination. Lise’s mesmerising voice carries you like a wave into a curious landscape of serene melodies and spoken words, a resting place for introverted dreamers and creative spirits. Like a musical inventor Arjan designs and rearranges folk, indie and classical elements into an original sound that reminds you of Portishead, London Grammar and Björk.
The open air concert / long craved get together will take place on Sunday, September 5, 2021, starting at 15:00pm, at Rijksmonument ‘Wilbrinkshof’, Munsterweg 3 in Gendringen. Tickets cost 15,00 € (10€ for students and children), ticket sales start on August 1st.
